Zuva Allied Health provides therapeutic supports for children in their home or school environment to assist with increasing their independence. We strive to make sense of the child’s ability and behavior using the play-based approach. We assist children who are experiencing challenges with their activities of daily living such as: eating, settling to sleep, toileting, dressing and grooming. Our assessments and therapy include working on self-regulation, fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing challenges, coordination and handwriting.
Zuva Allied Health also assists individuals living with Autism, Asperger’s, Brain Injury, Neurodegenerative disorders, and Mental health conditions to increase their independence. We also assist individuals with social skills difficulties to enable them to function within their natural environments and promote social participation
At Zuva Allied Health we can provide with seating and mobility asessements and/or prescription of aids and equipment to enhance mobility such as mobility scooters, wheelchairs, electric lift recliner chairs. Zuva Allied Health offers complex wheelchair seating, postural analysis, and pressure care. An appropriately fitted wheelchair or mobility aid increases an individual’s function and independence.
Zuva Allied Health conducts ergonomic assessment & modifications in the work environment. We also offer manual handling training to staff to reduce the risk of work-related injuries.
Zuva Allied Health offers community-based physiotherapy tailored to your goals. We offer strength and reconditioning, pain management, falls and balance, neurological rehabilitation, individualised home exercise program, mobility equipment prescription and health education.
Zuva Allied Health offers community-based counseling to individuals of all ages. We tailor our mental health programs to meet the specific needs of each of our clients. We aim to help our clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems, improve communication and coping skills, strengthen self-esteem as well promote behaviour change thereby achieving optimal mental health.
